What are the Dangers of the world wide web?

There are many dangers on the world wide web. Here are a few:

  • Your Personal Information – Sometimes, you or someone else can post your personal information on the web . This includes: name,age,address,school,pictures,family.etc
  • Inappropriate Stuff – There is inappropriate media on the web so be CAREFUL
  • Spam – You might get useless information sent to you so you can get tricked
  • Virus/Crashes – Someone can hack and put a virus on your device or some websites may be crashed or have a virus
  • Bullying – People can cyber-bully you online and you can to but DON’T
  • Theft – The more information of you is online, the risk of identify theft increases and that means people can do bad things to you

If you are using the world wide web, use it WISELY and APPROPRIATELY!

  • Accessible anywhere – You can use the web anywhere using data
  • Access Information – You can make information available to you by looking it up on the web
  • Shopping – BUY STUFF ONLINE!
  • Business – You can increase your business by creating websites and much much more
  • Chat/Email – Other people and yourself can communicate with other using text or gmail
  • Education – Completing work online or viewing assigned work online

There are also rules on the world wide web that you have to follow! Here’s a list of a few rules

  • Try not to give out personal and private information
  • Don’t become friends with people online, you haven’t met or don’t know
  • Do not open emails or things from people you don’t know or you think could hurt you
  • Tell an adult if something bothers you online
  • Don’t EVER cyber-bully online
  • Have fun online and let others have fun
  • Do not post your pictures or inappropriate pictures! NEVER DO THAT
